All articles published in the ASEAN Social Development Journal (ASDAL) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use

Under the following conditions:

  • Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given to the author(s), a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated.

  • Attribution must not suggest endorsement by the author(s) or the journal.

There are no additional restrictions beyond those imposed by the license itself.

Author Rights

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in ASDAL, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article as part of the journal issue and archive.

Authors are permitted to:

  • Share the published version on personal or institutional websites

  • Deposit the article in institutional repositories

  • Use the article for teaching, research, and derivative works

Provided that proper citation to the original publication in ASDAL is maintained.

Third-Party Material

If an article contains material not covered by the Creative Commons license (e.g., third-party images or copyrighted data), authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions prior to submission.
