The ASEAN Social Development Journal (ASDAL) is a fully open-access journal. All articles published in the journal are made immediately and permanently available online without subscription or access fees.

ASDAL believes that open access to scholarly research promotes global knowledge exchange, accelerates academic discovery, and enhances the visibility and impact of research outcomes.

1. Immediate Access

All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide upon publication. The journal does not impose any embargo period.

Users are permitted to:

  • Search

  • Link to the full texts

Without prior permission from the publisher, provided that proper citation of the original work is maintained.

2. Licensing

Articles published in ASDAL are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

Under this license:

  • Authors retain copyright

3. Author Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their work. By submitting and publishing with ASDAL, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article as part of the journal issue.

Authors are permitted to:

  • Archive the published version in institutional repositories

  • Deposit the article in research repositories

Provided that proper citation to the original publication is included.

4. Archiving and Digital Preservation

The journal ensures long-term digital preservation of its published content through appropriate archiving systems and institutional repositories.
